『Sejong Korean Conversation』 is designed with the purpose of helping Korean language learners at The King Sejong Institute(KSI) to develop practical Korean language skills, especially focusing on conversation, listening, and communication skills. Approaches ㆍ The purpose of this textbook is to help Korean language learners understand the Korean language and Korean society from an intercultural perspective, which is in accordance with the aims and purpose of the King Sejong Institute. ㆍ The following textbook is developed based on the ‘International Standard Model for Korean Language Education’ and the ‘King Sejong Institute Standard Model of Education,’ with aims to reach the objectives of textbooks,『Sejong Korean』Books 5, 6, 7, 8.『Sejong Korean Conversation 3』is equal to the objectives in『Sejong Korean』Book 5, 6 while the objectives in『Sejong Korean Conversation 4』is equal to『Sejong Korean』Books 7 and 8. ㆍ The following textbook is designed based on the 45-hour model of the ‘King Sejong Institute Standard Model of Education’ with a focus on speaking and listening education. ㆍ The following textbook is based on the 45-hour model and chooses the module of three parts. Depending on the class hours at King Sejong Institute, some modules can be deleted or partially chosen and further adopted within the 60-hour module. ㆍ This textbook is aimed to develop accuracy and fluency through communicative activities and activities testing language knowledge. ㆍ The contents and activities of the textbook are designed to help adult learner’s cognitive skills and learning strategies.

[세종한국어 회화]는 세종학당에서 한국어를 배우는 학습자의 실질적인 한국어 사용 능력 중에서도 특히 말하기와 듣기 의사소통 능력을 함양하는 것을 목적으로 개발되었습니다. 집필 방향 ㆍ 본 교재는 세종학당의 설립 취지와 목적에 맞추어 한국어 학습자가 상호주의적 관점에서 한국어와 한국문화를 이해할 수 있도록 집필되었습니다. ㆍ 본 교재는 ‘국제 통용 한국어교육 표준 모형’ 및 ‘세종학당 표준 교육 모형’에 의거하여 개발되었으며 기존 세종학당 표준 교재인 『세종한국어』의 도달 목표를 기준으로 개발되었습니다. 『세종한국어 회화 1』은 세종한국어 1, 2권의, 『세종한국어 회화 2』는 세종한국어 3, 4권의 도달 목표에 준합니다. ㆍ 본 교재는 ‘세종학당 표준 교육 모형’ 중 축약형인 45시간 모형에서의 사용을 기본으로 하되, 『세종한국어 회화 교원용지침서』에서 추가적으로 제시한 활동 등을 포함하는 경우 45시간 이상의 모형에서도 사용될 수 있도록 하였습니다. ㆍ ‘세종학당 표준 교육 모형’ 중 45시간 모형은 말하기와 듣기에 집중하는 ‘축약형’ 모형으로 본 교재 또한 말하기와 듣기 교육을 중심으로 구성되었습니다. ㆍ 본 교재는 45시간 모형에 준하되 세 개의 파트로 이루어진 모듈 구성을 채택하여 각 세종학당의 수업 시수에 따라 일부 모듈을 생략하거나 모듈 내 하위 구성 요소의 일부를 선택적으로 사용하여도 무리 없이 진도를 나갈 수 있도록 융통성 있게 구성하였습니다. ㆍ 본 교재는 유창성과 정확성을 고르게 향상시키기 위하여 언어 지식과 실제적인 의사소통 활동 과제를 고르게 포함시켰습니다. ㆍ 본 교재의 학습 내용과 학습 활동은 성인 학습자의 인지 능력, 학습 전략을 고려하여 효율적인 학습이 이루어질 수 있도록 하였습니다.
