이번 풍시조시집은 『풍간시초(諷諫詩抄)』란 타이틀로 『책선시초(責善詩抄)』 이후에 쓴 풍시조 2,800편을 100편씩 28권의 시집에 나누어 묶었다. 타이틀 풍간(諷諫)이란 말은 ‘살며시 나무라는 뜻을 붙이어 비유로 남을 깨우친다’는 말이다. 바꾸어 풀이하면 잘못을 비유로써 깨우친다 함이니 시로써 징벌하는, 문화적으론 선에 이바지함쯤이 된다. 풍시조 식으로는 악에 감행하는 시의 복수도 되고, 복수의 시가 되기도 한다. 그리고 악에 감행한 문화적 징벌이니 선에 이바지하는 개선(改善)의 의도쯤이 된다. 시대ㆍ세태ㆍ현실에서 자행되고 있는 부조리ㆍ비리ㆍ악행과 같은 시대적 병리를 비유로써 일깨워줌으로써 선을 일으켜 세우려는 문화적 행위쯤이 된다. 풍시조가 악의 교정을 통한, 악을 징벌함으로써 선을 일으켜 세우고자 하는 선에의 봉사라는 점에서 ‘순수한 통징’의 감행이라고도 할 수 있다. 나름의 풍시조 시에 대한 신념에 충실하고자 하고 앞으로 중단됨이 없이 더 써서 600권의 시집에 가 닿고 싶다.
