알렉 노브 (지은이) 정보 더보기

1915년 러시아의 쌍 페테르스부르그에서 태어났다. 1924년 영국 런던으로 이주한 후 런던정경대학(London School of Economics)에서 수학했다. 1946년에서 1958년까지 영국 상무부에서 근무한 후 런던 대학(University of London)에서 강의하기도 했다. 1963년에서 1982년까지 스코틀랜드의 글래스고우 대학(University of Glasgow)에서 소련.동구연구소 소장과 국제경제학 교수로 재직하는 동안, 구소련과 동유럽 사회주의 체제의 역사에 대한 방대한 논문과 저서들을 집필하였다. 1982년 이후 글래스고우 대학의 명예교수로 재직하다가 1994년 5월 노르웨이에서 사망했다. 지은 책으로 <Trade with Communist Countries>(공저), <The Soviet Economy>, <Was Stalin Really Necessary?>, <The Economic history of USSR 1917~1991>, <Planning: What, How and Why?>, <Political Economy and Soviet Socialism>, <Socialism, Economics and Development>, <Marxism and "Really Existing Socialism">, <Soviet Agriculture>, <Glasnost in Action>, <Studies in Economics and Russia>, <Markets and Socialism> 등이 있고, 사후 <Alec Nove on Economic Theory>라는 제목으로 미간행 노트들이 출간되기도 했다.
