Imperfect Believers: Ambiguous Characters in the Gospel of John (Paperback)

에모리 대학교 신약학 교수. UCSD(University of California San Diego)를 졸업하고 프린스턴 신학대학원(MDiv)과 에모리 대학교(PhD)에서 공부했다. 요한복음에 관한 책을 세 권이나 저술한 성서학자이면서, 동시에 초기 기독교에서 여성의 사회적 위치, 역할, 역사에도 관심이 많아 이와 관련한 책도 세 권이나 집필했다. 현재 Journal of Biblical Literature의 편집장으로 있다. 저서로 Women in the New Testament World(Oxford University Press, 2018), A Modest Apostle: Thecla and the History of Women in the Early Church(Oxford University Press, 2015) 외 다수가 있으며, 1세기 젠더의 구성에 관한 최근 연구 결과물인 Gender Mobility: 7 Ideas about Gender in the New Testament Period도 옥스퍼드 대학교 출판부에서 내년에 출간할 예정이다. 미국장로교(PCUSA) 소속의 장로로서 교회를 섬기고 있다.
