Fandom: Identities and Communities in a Mediated World (Paperback)

2000년대 들어 가장 주목받는 텔레비전 연구자 중 한 사람이다. 런던대학교 골드스미스칼리지에서 텔레비전 만화 [심슨 가족] 수용의 상호텍스트성을 주제로 박사학위를 취득하였고, 이 논문은 이후 Watching with The Simpsons: Television, Parody, and Intertextuality라는 제목의 단행본으로 출간되었다. 현재는 미국 위스콘신대학교(University of Wisconsin at Madison) 교수로 재직하고 있다. 주요 저작으로는 Coming Up Next: Promos in the Future of Television and Television Studies(2010), Satire TV: Politics and Comedy in the Post-Network Era(2009) 등이 있다. 영국과 미국, 캐나다 등 여러 국가에서 수학했던 개인적 경험을 토대로, 각기 다른 국가의 텔레비전을 사회적, 제도적 조건 속에서 맥락화하는 작업을 수행하고 있다.
