Religious Refugees in the Early Modern World : An Alternative History of the Reformation (Paperback)

캐나다 토론토대에서 역사학 박사학위를 받았다. 레기나대를 거쳐 2015년 현재 토론토대 사학과 교수로 재직하며 근대 초 유럽사와 젠더의 역사 등을 가르치고 있다. 피렌체의 빌라 이 타티Villa I Tatti에서 방문학자로 연구 활동을 수행했으며, 『계간 르네상스Renaissance Quarterly』 『16세기 연구Sixteenth Century Journal』 등 저명한 학술 저널의 편집위원으로 활동하고 있다. 르네상스기와 근대 초 이탈리아의 사회문화사 및 젠더의 역사에 관심을 가지고 있으며, 특히 제도와 종교의 관계를 주로 연구하고 있다. 저서로 『자선의 문화: 여성, 정치 그리고 르네상스기 이탈리아의 빈민 구제 개혁Cultures of Charity: Women, Politics and the Reform of Poor Relief in Renaissance Italy』(2013), 『르네상스기 이탈리아의 유기된 아이들: 피렌체와 볼로냐의 고아 구호Abandoned Children of the Italian Renaissance: Orphan Care in Florence and Bologna』(2005), 『르네상스기 볼로냐의 세속 종교봉사단체와 시민 종교Lay Confraternities and Civic Religion in Renaissance Bologna』(1995) 등이, 편저로 『의례적 친족관계의 정치학: 근대 초 이탈리아의 세속 종교봉사단체와 사회질서The Politics of Ritual Kinship: Confraternities and Social Order in Early Modern Italy』(2000) 등이 있다.
