러트거스대학교 뉴어크 캠퍼스 신경과학 교수이자 러트거스-뉴어크 기억 이상 연구 프로젝트의 공동책임자이며, 대중을 위한 뉴스레터인 「기억 상실과 뇌(Memory loss and the Brain)」의 발행인이기도 하다. Gluck 교수의 연구는 계산과학적 및 실험적 접근을 이용한 학습과 기억의 신경 기반 이해에 초점을 두고 있다. 그는 또한 노화, 외상 및 질환에 의해 생기는 기억상실의 결과에 대한 연구도 진행하고 있다. 최근에는 『Gateway to Memory: An Introduction to Neural Network Modeling of the Hippocampus and Learning』(MIT Press, 2001)을 공동으로 집필했고, 『Neuroscience and Connectionist Theory』(Lawrence Erlbaum Associates, 1990), 『Model Systems and the Neurobiology of Associative Learning: A Festschrift for Richard F. Thompson』(Lawrence Erlbaum Associates, 1990), 『Memory and Mind: A Festschrift for Gordon H. Bower』(Taylor & Francis, 2007)의 책들을 공동으로 편집하였다. 1996년에는 빌 클린턴 전 미국대통령으로부터 젊은 과학자 및 공학자에게 주어지는 대통령상을 수상했다. 또한 같은 해 미국 심리학회(American Psychological Association)에서 학문적 공헌이 큰 이들에게 수여하는 젊은 우수 과학자상을 수상했다.
