Patricia Lee was born in Seoul, Korea, and immigrated to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at the age of 5. Growing up in a traditional Korean household of 4 generations, she learned the traditional Korean ways and customs from her grandmother and great-grandmother. After graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design with a degree in Painting, she developed her career as an artist and founded Greenwich Portraits in 2004.
In 2007, dismayed by the waste created by disposable wrapping paper during the holidays, Patricia created a line of wrapping scarves inspired by the fabric wraps her grandmothers used in her childhood. She called her wraps "Bobos" from the Korean word for wrapping scarf, Bojagi, and the BOBO Wrapping Scarf Company was born.
Her first book, The Wrapping Scarf Revolution, seeks to introduce the Western world to the beautiful and eco-friendly craft of wrapping and carrying with fabric.
