콜린 헤이(Colin Hay, 1968년생)는 영국 세필드대학(the University of Sheffield)의 정치과학(Political Science)과의 교수이다. 캠브리지 대학(Clare College at Cambridge University)에서 정치 및 사회과학을 공부했다. 랭커스터 대학에서 사회학을 전공하며 ‘국가이론’ 연구로 유명한 봅 제솝(Bob Jessop)의 지도하에 박사를 마쳤다. 2002-2005년 사이 영국 미들랜드의 버밍햄 대학(the University of Birmingham)의 정치과학 및 국제정치학과(Political Science and International Studies)에서 학장을 역임했다. 현재까지 30권이 넘는 방대한 저술 작업을 해 오고 있으며 세계화, 유럽통합, 영국의 노동과 정치 변화, 그리고 유럽 복지국가모델의 변화, 국가론 등에 대한 이슈가 그의 주요 연구 주제들이다.
