멤피스대학에서 관리저널리즘(Managerial journalism)을 가르치고 있다. 12년간 '데일리 오클라호마(Daily Oklahoma)'와 '댈러스 모닝뉴스(Dalls Morning News)'에 재직하면서 미주리 저널리즘스쿨에서 박사학위를 취득했다. 무라연방정부(Murrah Federal) 폭탄테러사건의 참상을 보도하였으며, '멀티미디어와 터보뉴스의 시대(The Age of Multimedia and Turbonews)'를 포함한 저널리즘과 매스 미디어 분야의 책들을 썼다.
