Wei Dong Chen, 陳維東, 예명은 촌인(村人). 중국의 유수한 만화 전문 출판사인 '톈진 션지에(天津神界) 만화공사'의 설립자. 만화 이론가로도 활동하면서 만화 창작 및 만화 사업의 경영에 20년 가까이 몸담으며, 총 300여권의 만화를 제작하였다. '신중국만화'의 발전에 지대한 공헌을 했으며 중국의 젊은 세대 만화가들이 가장 존경하는 인물 중 하나이다. Wei Dong Chen, a highly acclaimed and beloved artist, and an influential leader in the "New Chinese Cartoon" trend, is the founder of Creator World in Tianjin, the largest comics studio in China. Recently the Chinese government entrusted him with the role of general manager of the Beijing Book Fair, and his reputation as a pillar of Chinese comics has brought him many students. He has published more than three hundred cartoons, which have been recognized for their strong literary value not only in Korea, but in Europe and Japan as well.
