전북대학교 영어교육과 교수 박재영 교수는 전북대학교 영어교육과 교수로 재직 중이며, 애리조나 주립대학교(Arizona State University)에서 영문학 학사 및 석·박사 통합과정을 통해 박사학위를 취득했습니다. 주요 연구 분야는 영문학, 영화 연구, 영어교육이며, 관련 분야에서 30편 이상의 논문을 발표하였습니다. 또한 『한국 영어교육 논쟁』 초판의 저자이며, 초·고등학교 영어 교과서를 공동 집필하고, 다음과 같은 영미 소설을 한국어로 번역하였습니다: Zofloya, Plum Bun, The Wheel of Life, Jazebel’s Daughter, The Street, A Sicilian Romance, Contending Forces, Black No More. 그의 학문적 기여와 교육 열정을 인정받아 다음과 같은 상을 수상하였습니다: Marvin Fisher Book Award Wilfred Ferrell Fellowship 전북대학교 평생 멘토 교수상 전북대학교 온라인 최우수 강의
