아테네에서 정치학을 전공했으며 에식스 대학의 이데올로기와 담론분석 프로그램에서 석사와 박사 학위를 받았다. 현재 에식스 대학과 노팅험 대학에서 강의를 하고 있다. 저서로는 <라캉과 정치>을 비롯하여, <담론이론과 정치분석>과 <라캉과 과학>을 공저하였다. 또한 저널 UMBR(a)에 지젝의 라캉해석과는 대립되는 논쟁적인 글인 <안티고네라는 미끼: 정치적인 것의 윤리의 아포리아>를 발표하기도 하였다. 현재 라클라우와 무페의 저작에 특별한 관심을 가지고 담론이론을 연구하고 있으며, 사회 이론과 정치분석에 대해서 프로이드와 라캉의 정신분석학이 갖고 있는 적합성을 탐구하고 있다. 또한 녹색 이데올로기 담론의 발전과 구조, 역사, 그리고 그리스 정치에 대해서도 관심을 가지고 연구하고 있다.
