레이먼드 게이타 (지은이) 정보 더보기

1946년 독일에서 태어나, 1950년 부모와 함께 오스트레일리아로 이주했다. 영국 킹스 칼리지 런던의 도덕철학 명예교수이자, 멜버른 로스쿨과 멜버른 대학교 인문학부 교수이다. 주요 연구 분야는 윤리학, 회의론, 심리철학, 정치철학, 교육, 다문화주의 등이다. 철학 저서로 『선과 악―절대적 개념』, 『공통된 인간성―사랑, 진실, 정의에 대해 생각하기』 등이 있고, 에세이로는 이 책 이외에 『철학자의 개』, 『로물루스 이후』 등이 있다. 『작별―로물루스, 나의 아버지』는 1998년 오스트레일리아 빅토리아 프리미어 문학상(논픽션 부문)을 수상하고, 1999년 『뉴 스테이츠먼』 선정 올해의 책, 2000년 『오스트레일리언 파이낸셜 리뷰』 선정 1990년대 최고의 책 10권 중 하나로 뽑혔다. 영화(리처드 록스버그 감독, 에릭 바나 주연)로 제작되어 2007년 현지에서 개봉했다.
