텍사스 A&M 법학전문대학원 교수로 회사법을 가르친다. 하버드대학교에서 법학을 강의한 바 있다. 《블록체인 민주주의(Blockchain Democracy)》를 저술했으며 〈월스트리트저널〉, 〈워싱턴포스트〉, 〈로스앤젤레스타임스〉, 〈블룸버그〉 등에 글을 기고했다. 현재 텍사스주 오스틴에 살고 있다.
