영국 랑카스터대학교 교수로서 뉴미디어이론가이자 디지털미술사학자로서 활동하면서 미술,디자인 분야의 작가와 이론가 그룹인 ‘CHArt’(Computers and the History of Art) 회장으로 있다. 또한 런던대학교 벅벡칼리지 재직시에는 영국 최초로 ‘Digital Art History’ 석사학위과정을 개설하여 7년간 운영하면서 디지털예술 창작과 전문연구자 양성에 기여한 교육자이기도 하다.
