미국의 종교 비평가, 종교 해석가, 콜린 칼리지의 철학과 교수. 브리검 영 대학교에서 비교문학 학사 학위를, 빌라노바 대학교에서 철학 석사와 박사 학위를 받았다. 전공 분야는 현대 프랑스 철학과 종교철학이다. 몰몬교 연구 출판사 솔트 프레스(Salt Press)를 공동 설립했고, ‘몰몬 신학 세미나’의 공동 디렉터로 활동하고 있다. 저서로는 Badiou, Marion, and St. Paul: Immanent Grace (2008), 『사변적 은혜 : 브뤼노 라투르와 객체지향 신학』(2013 ; 2024), Letters to a Young Mormon (2014), Grace Is Not God's Backup Plan: An Urgent Paraphrase of Paul's Letter to the Romans (2015), An Early Resurrection: life in Christ Before You Die (2018) 등이 있다.
