마이클 셔드슨 (지은이) 정보 더보기

하버드 대학에서 박사 학위를 받고, 시카고 대학과 UC 샌디에이고에서 가르쳤다. 현재 컬럼비아 대학 저널리즘 스쿨 교수로 재직 중이다. 뉴스 매체의 역사와 사회학에 관한 여러 편저로 유명하다. 지은 책으로 Discovering the News(1978), Advertising, the Uneasy Persuasion(1984), Reading the News(1986, 공편), Watergate in American Memory(1992), The Power of News(1995), The Good Citizen(1998), The Sociology of News(2003, 2011), The Rise of the Right to Know(2015) 등이 있다.
