Karl Randall, a permanent resident of South Korea, received B.S. degrees in Economics and Finance from Oakland University and his M.A. in History from American Military University. He currently works as a full time lecturer at Kyungsung University in Busan, South Korea, where he teaches a number of classes geared toward introducing foreign exchange students to Korean Culture. In his spare time, he enjoys practicing both archery and fencing. In addition to his interest in games and sports, Randall is an avid historian whose research efforts lie in military history, the history of technology and research in non-firearms weapons and armor. He is world's leading expert on the history of paper armor and its defensive capabilities. Karl Randall은 현재 부산 경성대학교에서 외국교환학생들을 대상으로 한국 문화에 대한 강의를 하고 있다. <Korean Games and Sports>의 집필 계기가 되기도 했던 한국 놀이 문화에 대한 Randall의 관심과 사랑은 직접 국궁과 검도를 익히는 개인적인 취미로도 이어지고 있다. 한편, Randall은 미국 Oakland University에서 경제학과 재무학을 전공하고 AMU에서 역사학 석사학위를 받았으며, 비총기 무기 분야를 비롯한 다방면에 능통한 군사 전문가이기도 하다.
