이론과 실제를 겸비한 유대 교육학자이자 바일란대학교Bar-Ilan University에서 데이빗 오크스 석좌교수David Ochs Chair를 맡아 유대교육학을 가르치고 있다. 그는 바일란대학교의 스턴 연구소Stern Institute에서 유대교육 심화과정을 연구하고 있다. 그의 연구주제는 유대교 문헌 학습, 철학적 해석학, 교육학, 윤리영성학을 통합하는데 있다. 오릿 켄트와 함께 공저한 『하브루타란 무엇인가』(A Philosophy of Havruta: Understanding and Teaching the Art of Text Study in Pairs)는 2014년 유대학 최고의 책으로 선정된바 있다.
