2011년 현재 런던대학교 Institute of Education의 교수로서 Faculty of Policy and Society의 학장으로 재직 중이다. 그녀는 주로 음악 학습과 연습, 연주와 연관된 주제, 음악 능력, 음악적 이해 능력, 학습과 행동에 미치는 음악의 영향 등에 관해 연구하고 있다. Psychology of Music, Psychology of Edu－cation Review and Learning Matters의 편집장을 지냈으며, Education Section of the British Psychological Society의 회장직을 역임했다. 현재는 British Educational Research Associa－tion의 재무이사, Quality Assurance Agency와 Academician of the Learned Societies for the Social Sciences의 고문직으로 있다. Improving Behaviour and Attendance at School, Oxford Handbook of Music Psychology, Music Psychology in Education, Homework: the Evidence 등 10여 권의 책을 저술했다.
