템플 대학교 교육대학 교수로서 교육행정학을 담당하고 있다. 이전에는 템플 대학교 연구개발센터 부소장으로 봉사하였고 교육 리더십 정책연구학과의 학과장이었다. 펜실베이니아 대학교 여성연구 프로그램의 공동 책임자였고, 미국과 영국의 중학교와 고등학교에서 가르쳤으며, 인턴교사 책임자였다. 가장 최근에는 템플 대학교 교수평의회 부회장을 지냈고, 스티븐 제이 그로스(Steven Jay Gross)와 함께 신민주윤리교육 리더십(New DEEL)이라는 교육운동을 공동으로 창설했다. 펜실베이니아 대학교에서 교육행정 전공으로 박사학위를 받았고, 런던 대학교 교육대학에서 박사후과정을 마쳤다.
