미국 켄터키대학교 발달심리학과 부교수. 20년간 젠더가 아이들의 삶에 미치는 영향을 연구해 왔으며 젠더 발달과 학업에 관한 주제로 여러 과학 저널에 논문을 발표했다. 미국 공영 라디오(NPR), CBS 뉴스 프로그램, 『미즈 매거진』 『슬레이트』를 포함한 다양한 언론과 잡지에 소개되었으며, 젠더 문제와 아동 발달에 대해 활발하게 강연하고 있다.
