모리스 로사비 (엮은이)    정보 더보기
미국의 저명한 동아시아·중앙아시아 전문가. 1941년 이집트 알렉산드리아에서 태어났으며, 컬럼비아대학교에서 동아시아·중앙아시아사, 몽골사를 전공하여 박사학위를 받았다. 현재 뉴욕시립대학교(CUNY) 역사학과 석좌교수이며, 컬럼비아대학교에서 중국사, 몽골사, 내륙아시아사 전공 겸임교수를 맡고 있다. 메트로폴리탄미술관, 클리블랜드미술관, 로스앤젤레스주립미술관의 전시 기획과 카탈로그 제작에 참여한 바 있으며, 몽골국립대학교에서 명예박사학위를 받았다. 아홉 가지 언어를 활용해 광범한 지역의 역사를 연구하고 있으며, 현재 뉴욕에 거주 중이다. 수많은 논문과 책을 집필했으며, 국내에는 『수성의 전략가 쿠빌라이 칸(Khubilai Khan: His Life and Times)』과 『몽골제국(The Mongols: A Very Short Introduction)』이 번역 소개되어 있다.
