-버몬트대학교(University of Vermont: UVM)의 간호건강과학대학 학장 겸 의사소통 과학 및 장애학과 교수 -University of Vermont, 105 Rowell, 106 Carrigan Drive, Burlington, VT 05405 -Patricia A. Prelock의 주요 학문적 업무는 의사소통 과학 및 장애 학과의 교수며, 의과대학 정신과에서 두 번째 업무를 수행하고 있다. 그녀의 주요 연구 관심은 자폐의 특성 및 중재와 협력적이고 간학문적인 실제에 관한 것이며, 사회적 조망수용, 또래 놀이, 정서 조절, 사회적 대화에 포함된 중립적 동선 등을 포함한다. 「Language, Speech, and Hearing Services in Schools」의 부편집장으로 일해 왔으며, 미국 말-언어-청각협회(American Speech-Language-Hearing Association)의 2000년도 올해의 회원으로 선발되었고, 회장으로 선출되었다. Prelock 박사는 자폐, 협력, 언어 진단 및 중재, 음운론 분야에서 120편 이상의 출판을 하였고 400편 이상의 전문 학술지 및 학회 발표를 하였다. 1998년에는 버몬트부모정보센터(Vermont Parent Information Center)로부터 상(Friends Award)을 받았으며, 2000년에는 버몬트대학교의 강의우수상(Kroepsch-Maurice Excellence in Teaching Award)과 제1회 버몬트자폐학회 서비스 우수상(Autism Society of Vermont Excellence in Service Award)을 수상하였다. 2003년에는 버몬트대학교의 특별교수가 되었다. 2010년에 Kids on the Block Program으로부터 Puppet’s Choice Award for Autism을 수상하였다. Prelock 박사는 켄트주립대학교(Kent State University)에서 학사와 석사학위를 받았으며, 피츠버그대학교(University of Pittsburgh)에서 박사학위를 받았다. 또한 아동 언어 전문가 자격증을 소지하고 있다.
