김성국 (지은이) 정보 더보기

1947년 부산에서 태어나 초중고를 마치고, 서울대학교에서 사회학(학사, 석사)을 공부하고, 미국 인디애나대학교에서 박사학위(The Political Economy of East European Relations with the USSR: A Historical and Time-Series Analysis, 1945-1979)를 취득한 후 부산대학교 사회학과(현재 명예교수)에서 불평등론, 이론, 사회사 등을 가르쳤다. 한국사회학회, 한국이론사회학회, 한국아나키즘학회, 한국지역사회학회, 한국동아시아사회학회, 한국해양사회학회의 회장 및 East Asian Sociological Association의 Korean President를 역임하였으며, 현재 중국 길림대학교 사회학과 객좌교수(2020-2025)로 있다. 대표 저서로는 A Quest for East Asian Sociologies(편저, 2014), 『잡종사회와 그 친구들: 아나키스트 자유주의 문명전환론』(2015), Handbook of Post-Western Sociology(편저, 2023) 등이, 논문으로는 “East Asian Community as Hybridization”(2014), ?유아유심 개인주의: 마음사회학을 위하여?(2018), “Toward an Ocean of Hybridisation: East Asian Connections”(2022) 등이 있다. 서울대 통일평화연구원 “평화의 책”(2016)과 대한민국학술원상(2017)을 수상했다. 부산 바닷가에 살며 태평양을 품에 안은 영도와 의열의 터 밀양을 즐겨 찾는다.
