책 소개
Pastors and church members who have used The Kingdom of God Discipleship Training have requested a resource that would be easier and more accessible to use.
Pastors and church members who have used The Kingdom of God Discipleship Training (Mokyang, 2016 / revised in 2019 as The Kingdom of God Discipleship Training – Leader’s Guide) have requested a resource that would be easier and more accessible to use. Reflecting these needs from the field, this workbook series was designed to help church members study the content of The Kingdom of God Discipleship Training in a more approachable, workbook-style format.
By using this workbook, participants can gain the following benefits:
1) Training in a comprehensive and holistic Christian worldview
2) Confidence in faith through apologetics suited to the postmodern era
3) Training in a way of life that embodies the gospel in everyday practice
None of the content in this workbook is entirely original to the author. It is based on the Christian faith teachings and materials that the author learned while growing in faith. However, in response to changes in the times, the author has sought new approaches to Christian discipleship, drawing on recent studies by contemporary theologians and pastors. This work is a compilation and organization of diverse research rather than the author’s own original theories. It is sincerely hoped that this material will be helpful to its readers.
Jong-Pil Lee

※Six Key Features of the Kingdom of God Discipleship Workbook※
1) A discipleship resource structured around the gospel of the Kingdom of God
2) A training resource for cultivating a comprehensive and holistic Christian worldview
3) A discipleship resource that defends Christian faith in the context of the postmodern era
4) A resource that helps believers embody God’s reign in every area of life
5) A curriculum-tested discipleship resource proven in urban ministry contexts in Seoul
6) A resource that provides logical responses to modern ideologies that undermine faith
Having planted a church in Gangnam—often considered barren ground for church planting—and built a healthy and powerful community solely through the Word, Pastor Jong-Pil Lee has now published his ministry insights in this workbook. His passion for building a beautiful church that embodies the Kingdom of God has borne visible fruit, and the core spirit of that ministry is embedded in this material. Biblical yet contextual, theoretical yet practical, theological yet ecclesial—this workbook is exceptionally well-suited for discipling many believers in today’s struggling Korean church. I commend his labor.
— Rev. In-Joong Kim
(Emeritus Pastor, Ansan Dongsan Church)
“The Kingdom of God” is the central message of the gospel proclaimed by the Lord. In this workbook, Pastor Jong-Pil Lee clearly and accurately organizes the principles and practices of the Kingdom of God that every true disciple must understand.
— Prof. Seok-Hwan Sung
(Professor, Presbyterian University and Theological Seminary / Director, Urban Community Research Institute)
He has long reflected on whether the “gospel” emphasized by today’s pastors is truly the gospel, and whether churches striving desperately for revival are truly the Church. Now, he has distilled his understanding of the gospel and the Church into this workbook.
— Prof. Jung-Woo Kim
(Professor, Chongshin Theological Seminary / Director, Korea Theological Information Research Institute)
Until now, there has been no discipleship resource that integrates basic faith education with a Kingdom-of-God-centered biblical worldview. Even academic theology has failed to systematize this work. As a pastor and Word-centered movement leader who has fiercely confronted congregational realities with the vision of the Kingdom of God, the author has courageously opened a new path.
— Rev. Hyung-Guk Oh
(General Secretary, Gwangju Branch, Korea Scripture Union Mission)
This workbook is a masterpiece “written through the practice of life,” leading us carefully and firmly with the most essential gospel—the worldview of the Kingdom of God—in the face of a deadly spiritual disease.
— Rev. Gap-Shin Jung
(Senior Pastor, Jesus Hyangnam Church)
