노트르담 대학교(University of Notre Dame)에서 저명한 데이비드 오운(David E. Aune)의 지도 아래 박사 학위를 받았다. 2011년부터 퀸시 대학교(Quincy University)에서 학생들을 가르쳤으며, 2024년 가을에 스캇 맥나이트(Scot McKnight)가 있는 노던 신학교(Northern Seminary)로 자리를 옮길 예정이다. 지금까지 번역된 책으로는 『오직 충성으로 받는 구원』(새물결플러스, 2020)이 있다.
