한국의 학교에서는 한 달 치 우유 값을 통장으로 지불한 후 우유를 먹지만, 캐나다 학교에서는 티켓을 사서 자신이 먹고 싶을 때 우유와 티켓을 교환한다. 우리나라 아이들과 마찬가지로 캐나다 아이들도 흰 우유 보단 초콜릿 우유를 더욱 선호했다. 이 글을 쓰게 된 이유는 한국과는 다른 방식으로 우유를 배급한다는 사실이 신기했고, 그 제도를 우리나라에도 도입하면 좋겠다는 생각 때문이었다. 왜냐하면 한국은 한 달 동안 우유가 먹기 싫든 좋든 신청을 하였으면 먹어야 하지만, 캐나다에서는 먹고 싶을 때 티켓과 교환하기만 하면 된다는 장점이 있었기 때문이다.
