앤드루 가우디 (지은이)    정보 더보기
1984년부터 2003년까지 영국 옥스퍼드 대학에서 지리학 교수와 하트퍼드 칼리지의 펠로우로 봉직하였다. 그는 탁월한 업적을 쌓은 자연지리학자로, 2002년에 옥스퍼드 대학 최고의 학위인 DSc를 받았다. 1991년에는 영국 왕립지리학회로부터 Royal Medal을 받았으며, 2002년에는 벨기에 왕립학술원의 학술상을 받았다. 2005년 9월부터 영국학술단체연합의 E 분과인 지리학연합의 대표직을 수행하고 있으며, 국제지형학자연합의 회장직을 맡고 있다. 올스퍼드 대학출판사 대표와 옥스퍼드 대학 부총장직을 역임하기도 하였다. 현재는 옥스퍼드 대학 세인트크로스 칼리지의 학장을 맡고 있다. 두 자매의 아버지로 고서적과 고음반을 모으는 것이 취미이다.
