책속에서

Let’s practice the thought, “I am the lowest person in the world.” When we look into our mind, there is little desire to learn from others, but much desire to teach others. This is because we are lacking in modesty and humility. If we think highly of ourselves, we tell others “Be like me,” “Listen to me,” “Do as I say.” As we live, let us consider the position of others and be understanding, and help those in need. Let us refrain from telling lies, and live a pure, honest life. Let us not put our interests above those of our family members, and let others have what is good before we do. We must practice good deeds every day, so that the scale of conscience is balanced in favor of our good deeds and not bad ones.
