At 18 years old, the author is a high school student in Ilsan, dreaming of leaving Korea to study abroad in an American university.
While volunteering at nearby schools for the disabled, the author became interested in the lives of people with disabilities.
The author’s first book, "Shadow Friend," tells the story of a deep friendship between two young friends, one with Down syndrome and the other with muscular dystrophy.
"Shadow Friend" was selected as an excellent student work for the Cheongil Literature Award and was also produced as a braille book, a large print book, and an audio book in the National Library for people with various disabilities.
The author has a strong interest in the quality of life of people with disabilities, particularly their mobility rights. In this regard, the author is a leader of the "New Thinking" club for improving awareness of people with disabilities at her high school, and she also serves as the chairman of the student council for the Gimpo Youth Operating Committee, carrying out various activities to improve awareness.
Furthermore, the author was selected as a student with positive influence for promoting a campaign to facilitate the sales of products made by people with severe disabilities through the ESG practice donation challenge app RZ sponsored by LG Chemical to commemorate Disability Day in 2023. The goals of this event were introducing "good products, good consumption" and demonstrating a deep interest in improving the awareness and lives of people with disabilities
