Universe full of Smile

One early summer morning, I'd wake up and open my eyes,
So would the little cat at bedside and meow.
As I lift up my head, open the window and look down upon the yard,
Moss roses near the wall with their petals open seem to giggle and chatter cutely.
The sky would also open its opaque eyelids smilingly,
Then from under the distant hill would rise the morning sun, too,
With its beaming face.
It's the moment when the whole world wakes and beams up;
The universe is full of smile.

웃음에 잠긴 우주

어느 여름날의 이른 새벽이다
나는 잠 깨여 눈떴다
나의 머리맡에 와 앉은 꼬마 고양이도 눈 떠서 야옹한다.
고게 들어 창문을 열고 뜰아래를 보니
담 밑의 채송화들도 눈떠서 귀엽게 웃는다
하늘도 가슴프레 눈떠서 우슴을 흘리고
머-ㄴ 재아래의 아침 해도 눈떠서 빙그레 웃고 떠올라오는 듯
왼 세계가 눈떠서 웃는 순간이다
우슴에 잠긴 우주다
