해방 이후 1946년에서 1950년 전쟁 발발 전까지의 제작 편수 62편 중 35밀리는 24편, 16밀리는 38편으로, 35밀리 필름으로 제작된 영화가 상당한 비율을 차지하고 있었다. 전 시기에 비해 동란기 영화 대부분이 16밀리로 제작되었다는 것은 기술의 퇴보보다 한국영화의 명맥을 유지하려는 노력이라는 관점에서 평가되어야 한다.(p.108 중에서)
