아웅!
멀고 먼 해안선을 얼어붙이는 것 같은 싸늘한 울음소리 속에 한때 보이지 않아졌던 파란 요귀는 여전히 숨쉬고 있는 것이었었다.
내일 아침 해가 떠올라야 저 눈이 꺼지는 것이다. 나는 졸려서 그대로 그 눈을 지켜보고 있는 것이 무섭기도 했다.
밤은 고요히 깊어가는데 누혜의 비단옷을 빌려 입은 나의 그림자는 언제까지 그렇게 그 고목 가지 아래서 설레고만 있는 것이었다.
과연 내일 아침에 해는 동산에 떠오를 것인가…….

“Mew.”
Those ghostly eyes, which had disappeared for a moment, were back where they were before and there was a cry that seemed to freeze the far distant shoreline. The eyes will shine till the sun rises in the morning. I was getting sleepy and I was finding it a burden to keep watching those eyes. The night was silently deepening and my shadow, dressed in Nu-he’s borrowed silk clothes, kept moving restlessly beneath the old tree.
I wonder if the sun will rise over the eastern mountain...
