Rock Is Thunder

강원도 영월에서 출생하였다. 1998년 『현대시』로 등단하여 작품활동을 시작했다. 시집으로 『내 최초의 말이 사는 부족에 관한 보고서』, 『명왕성 되다』, 『벌레 신화』, 『생물학적인 눈물』, 『돌이 천둥이다』. 저서로 『현대시와 허무의식』, 『딜레마의 시학』, 『부재의 수사학』, 『징후와 잉여』, 『환상과 토포필리아』, 대담집 『나는 시인이다』가 있다. 한국시인협회 젊은시인상, 현대시작품상, 한국서정시문학상, 김만중문학상을 수상했다.

Susan K received her BA in English Literature and Linguistics at the University of Toronto. After completing the Literature Translation fellowship program and the Media Translation fellowship program at the Literature Translation Institute of Korea, she now works as a full-time freelance translator of Korean literature and cultural contents. In 2021 she received grants from the LTI to translate the poetry collections One Person’s Closed Door (Park Soran) and We Could See the Monsoon Together (Park Joon). She translated Jeong Wooshin’s poetry collection I’ll Give You All My Promenade (Asia Publishers, 2022) and co-translated Kim Haengsook’s Human Time (Black Ocean, 2023).
