♣ 활동2-1 두 도시 <이야기 듣기>
Instruction
1. Have students take turns reading the story “Two Villages” out loud.
There were two villages. One village was at the east end of the region and was called the “°Eastern Village,”± while the other village was at the Western end of the region and was called the ‘Western Village.”±People still live in both villages and the wind blows through them both, but from some point, everyone that passed through the Eastern Village felt happy and everyone that passed through the Western Village left with a frown. Even the birds and the rabbits passed through the Western Village quickly as if they were being chased; the clouds and the wind looked down on the villages and sighed. What happened to these two villages?
♣활동 3-3 스리랑카의 사르보다야 운동 <사례 연구하기3>
In the small island nation of Sri Lanka, some people dream of living in good villagesand communities where everyone help each other. These people are part of a movement called the Sarvodaya Movement and they gather together and go to villages throughout Sri Lanka. The people who live in Sarvodaya villages help each other solve problems intheir villages. In the villages imagined by the Sarvodaya Movement, there are no very poor or very wealthy villagers. Villagers gather as a group to solve community problems and then go on to assist other villages with their problems as well.
