액막이

음력 정초 민가에서는 벽에 닭과 호랑이의 그림을 붙여 사악한 액이 물러가기를 빌고, 삼재(三災)가 든 사람은 세 마리의 매를 그려 문설주에 붙여 액막이를 하는 풍습이 있다.

January 29/ ‘Seol’(‘Aengmagi’)

‘Aengmagi’(Exorcism)
At the beginning of the lunar year, it is believed that displaying an image of a chicken and a tiger on a wall will repel and ward off evil spirits. Individuals who experienced the three types of disasters (water, fire, and wind) make it a ritual to display a picture of three hawks on their gatepost for the same reason.

正月 29 / お正月(厄よけ)
旧暦年初、民家では壁に鶏と虎の絵を貼り付けて邪悪な厄が退くように祈り、三災の入った人は三匹の鷹を描いて門柱に付け厄よけをする風習がある。

빚

민가에서는(고려, 조선 초기) 아무리 생활이 궁핍하고 어려운 사람이라도 모든 빚을 갚고 홀가분한 마음으로 동짓날을 맞는 풍습이 있었다.
