- 서울대학교 불어불문학과를 졸업하였다. - 서울대학교 불어불문학과에서 프랑스문학으로 석사학위, 프랑스어권 캐나다문학으로 박사학위를 취득하였다. - KDI 국제정책대학원에서 국제정책학 석사학위를, 부경대학교에서 국제지역학 박사학위를 취득하였다. - 제주해녀문화보전회와 한국해녀선교회를 창립하고 해녀문화 전파와 해녀선교에 매진하고 있다. - 저서 《미국의 정치문화, 기독교, 그리고 영화》, 《통일과 민주주의》, 역서 《랭보, 지옥으로부터의 자유》가 있다. - Graduated from Seoul National University with an undergraduate degree in French Language and French Literature. - Completed a master's degree in French literature and obtained a doctorate in Francophone Canadian literature at Seoul National University. - Completed a master’s degree in International Public Policy and Management at KDI School of Public Policy and Management. - Obtained a doctorate in International Area Studies at Pukyong National University. - Founded the Jeju Haenyeo Cultural Preservation Society and the Korea Haenyeo Mission, and is dedicated to spreading haenyeo culture and haenyeo missionary work. - Wrote the books:《American Political Culture, Christianity, and Film》,《Unification and Democracy》and translated the book,《Rimbaud, Freedom From Hell》.
