예수가 새로운 질서의 기쁨과 힘을 설명하다-마태복음 9:14~17
요한의 제자들이 찾아와서 질문했다. “우리와 바리새인들은 금식 규정을 지키는데 왜 선생님의 제자들은 지키지 않습니까?” 예수가 대답했다. “신랑과 함께 있는데 결혼식 하객들이 슬퍼할까요? 신랑을 빼앗길 그날이 오면, 그들은 분명히 금식할 것입니다! 아직 빳빳한 새 천 조각을 붙여서 낡은 외투를 꿰매는 사람은 없습니다. 새 천 조각이 외투를 잡아당겨서 구멍이 이전보다 더 커지기 때문입니다. 또한 새 포도주를 낡은 가죽 부대에 넣는 사람도 없습니다. 그렇게 하면 가죽 부대가 터져서 포도주가 쏟아지고 가죽 부대도 못 쓰게 됩니다. 새 포도주는 새 가죽 부대에 넣어야 둘 다 안전합니다.”
Then John’s disciples approached him with the question, ‘Why is it that we and the Pharisees observe the fasts, but your disciples do not?’ ‘Can you expect wedding-guests to mourn while they have the bridegroom with them?’ replied Jesus. ‘The day will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them－they will certainly fast then! ‘Nobody sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on to an old coat, for the patch will pull away from the coat and the hole will be worse than Nor do people put new wine into old wineskins－otherwise the skins burst, the wine is spilt and the skins are ruined. But they put new wine into new skins and both are preserved.’

하나님의 자비와 지혜를 본 우리는 어떻게 할 것인가?_로마서 12:1~2
형제 여러분, 간곡히 부탁드리니 하나님의 자비에 눈을 활짝 뜨고 여러분의 몸을 성별하여 그분이 받으실 만한 살아 있는 제물이 되는 명철한 예배를 드리십시오. 여러분을 둘러싸고 있는 세상의 틀에 억지로 맞추지 말고 하나님이 새로 만드시는 사람이 되어 마음의 태도를 전부 바꾸십시오. 그러면 하나님이 인정하는 선하고 완전한 뜻을 여러분은 실제로 입증할 것입니다.
With eyes wide open to the mercies of God, I beg you, my brothers, as an act of intelligent worship, to give him your bodies, as a living sacrifice, consecrated to him and acceptable by him. Don’t let the world around you squeeze you into its own mould, but let God re-make you so that your whole attitude of mind is changed. Thus you will prove in practice that the will of God’s good, acceptance to him and perfect.
