Kim Eon Hee (b. 1953) was born in Jinju, South Korea. She is known for constructing a provocative, obscene, yet highly playful and inventive poetic world that is uniquely her own. A prominent figure in Korean avant-garde poetry, her work is often distinguished by an explosive use of language, violent imagery, and transgressive motifs. Kim 's first poetry collection Trunk was published in 1995. She has since published seven collections, including the most recent work Horangmalko (2024) as well as GG (2020), The Man I Miss (2016) and Have you Been Feeling Blue These Days? (2011), the latter of which was translated into English (Noemi Press, 2019).
