이번 이장 선거는 물론이고 다음번에도 또 다음번에도, 영원히, 서경훈 씨가 이장이 되면 안 됩니다. 제일 좋은 건 아예 마을에서 살지 못하고 떠나는 거겠지요. 이 간통사건은 거기서부터 생겨났다고 나는 믿습니다. 정치판이든 장사판이든, 까놓고 말해, 우리 모두가 다 익숙한, 삼십 년 사십 년 전부터 지금까지, 여전히, 끈질기게, 그 생명력 자랑하는, 개뿔이나 상생은 무슨, 개떡이나 새천년은 무슨, 개코나 정보화 세계화는 무슨, 모두들 알고 있지요, 우리, 세상 눈부시게 변한다고 말들 하지만, 이 수법 말예요. 면내의처럼 몸에 착 붙어서 이젠 진짜 우리 것이 돼 가고 있는, 이 더러운.
